This reads like a pocket journal of a seasoned explorer, which has been edited and expanded into a most interesting diary of an expedition through the Himilayas. I had the opportunity to share the journey-without the insects, sweat and trials of the actual journey. Indepth exposition of both the natural and political face of the region in a particular time, a snapshot of "how it once was". Occasionally the voice of the novel seems archaic, but that further drew me in to the time and place of the expedition. I found it to be completely interesting and engaging.Product details
